Goals: You’ll learn how to effectively utilize resources on a typical SharePoint Foundation team site.   • Existing Microsoft SharePoint site users who would like to create and manage a SharePoint site
Goals: You will be able to create a SharePoint team site and perform basic content management tasks on a single SharePoint site. You’ll learn how to create and configure new SharePoint sites; add documents, assets, and wiki pages, along with announcements, tasks, calendars, and custom lists. In addition you will create and configure your own custom forms, assign permissions and access rights to users, finalize site configuration, and extend SharePoint functionality with web parts.

  • Those who have experience with designing and maintaining a SharePoint site
  • Having taken the Site Administrator course is helpful, but not required
Goals: Here you’ll be learning how to integrate data sources, customize data types, and author workflows in SharePoint Designer 2013 to model structured business processes without code. You’ll also learn how to customize and configure content types to ensure data consistency, access and modify data sources, and create a workflow with the SharePoint 2013 Workflow platform. In addition you will develop, package, and deploy workflows in Visio 2013 and SharePoint Designer 2013.

  • Administrators who would like to add features at the site collection level, manage workflows, and implement records management features
Goals: By the end of this class you’ll be able to take on administrative responsibility for implementing and managing many site collection features. This will include basic site customization based on business requirements, activation and configuration of site collection-level SharePoint features, and configuring top-level site functions. You’ll also manage archiving and compliance features, create workflows, and configure search options.

Foundation Level 1

  • Users who need to access information on a Microsoft SharePoint team site or users who may need to create and manage a SharePoint team site
  • Those who feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed trying to create meaningful diagrams with it
Goals: You’ll learn how to create a SharePoint subsite, add content and format it, while working with Lists and Libraries to share documents and create Wiki pages. You’ll also learn how to communicate with team members by participating in Discussion Boards and contributing to blogs, and how to work remotely with SharePoint content. You will also create and perform basic management of a team site using SharePoint Foundation.

Here you’ll also learn how to administer a SharePoint site by managing User Access, and Site Security, Usage, and Maintenance.
